Calling Supersocket.ClientEngine.AsyncTcpSession.Close causes socket exception

I am using SuperSocket ClientEngine in a client app to connect to a SuperSocket server (two separate applications). When I call Supersocket.ClientEngine.AsyncTcpSession.Close() to end the client app. I get this Socket Exception error: "The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request". All I want to do is end the app gracefully, without throwing an error as it exits. I can of course handle and suppress the error, but that's a messy solution.
